The Symphony Council
Who We Are
The Symphony Council consists of a group of distinguished patrons who share an enthusiasm for the artistic and cultural mission of the ASO, and who understand the unique means by which the orchestra fulfills its distinct mission: to expand audiences for great music through innovative programming and presentation. Admission is by invitation only.
Our Mission
To engage and participate in the orchestra’s vision by infusing energy and innovation to its work and activities and providing strategic direction into its continued development.
Our Activities
Through its role as the “think tank” of the ASO, the Symphony Council will focus on implementing the following activities:
- Generate strategies for audience development and outreach.
- Develop imaginative approaches to concert presentation.
- Create innovative ways to attract new patrons, trustees, or major donors.
- Serve as a forum for feedback on ASO concerts, projects and plans.
- Host cultivation events.
- Build an ASO docent program.
- Participate in the orchestra’s educational programs.
